A Spherix Global Insights survey of 185 US healthcare specialists found Eli Lilly’s injectable Zepbound remains the top choice among currently available GLP-1 options. Respondents reported 80% being highly satisfied with Zepbound, versus 59% for Novo Nordisk’s injectable Wegovy. The poll also captured early satisfaction with the first oral GLP-1 entrants: Novo’s oral Wegovy pill and Lilly’s oral Foundayo drew 48% and 47% highly satisfied ratings, respectively. The discontinuation picture remained a consistent friction point, with survey respondents citing a 25% discontinuation rate within 12 months and attributing it primarily to cost/insurance coverage and gastrointestinal side effects.
