Nvidia, Sheba Medical Center’s ARC Innovation, and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai launched a three‑year collaboration to develop a genomic foundation model (gFM) — a large language model trained to map regulatory mechanisms in noncoding DNA and link genetic variation to disease risk and therapeutic response. The partners will pool genomic datasets, AI research, and clinical expertise while leveraging Nvidia's AI stack. Mount Sinai will anchor the work via its Million Health Discoveries Program and ARC Innovation’s AI Center. The initiative aims to accelerate the functional interpretation of noncoding regions to uncover therapeutic targets and biomarkers, combining institutional cohorts with Nvidia’s modeling infrastructure and software.
