Preclinical targeted radiotherapy data suggested that delivering Lutetium-177 via a PD-L1-binding antibody can shrink triple-negative breast tumors in mice and extend survival. In the study, [177Lu]Lu-atezolizumab reduced tumor volumes relative to saline controls, with median survival increasing dose-dependently and limited toxicity signals reported in the model. Elsewhere in translational therapeutics, an in vitro and in vivo report explored targeted delivery using magnetic nanoparticle guidance to improve doxorubicin accumulation in triple-negative breast cancer xenografts. Both lines emphasize precision—bringing payloads to the right tumor compartment to improve efficacy while managing safety.
