Proteotype Diagnostics is advancing its Enlighten multicancer early detection test toward clinical deployment with new studies intended to support CE-IVDR submission pathways. The company is planning a new 7-year study to support Enlighten’s continued clinical development and an additional study to optimize its platform technology. Proteotype described a development reset that includes emerging from earlier technology, development and IP protection steps and adding capabilities and team members, while preparing for a financing process seeking about £5 million (approximately $6.8 million) for the next regulatory and product phase. The company’s underlying biology involves amino-acid residue biomarker signatures reflecting cancer-specific immune activation, with performance data previously reported in Nature Communications showing a 78% cancer detection rate in the validation cohort without misclassifying healthy participants as having cancer.
