ARPA-H awarded up to $125 million to build an automated, domestic network for manufacturing individualized, on-demand RNA-based genetic medicines through its GIVE program. The funding targets continuous manufacturing and quality control testing capabilities at or near the point of care, with multiple teams designing platforms from single-use fluidics chips to autonomous quality systems. The award includes work led by Massachusetts General Hospital, Centillion Biosciences, HDT Bio, Waterfall Scientific, and University of Utah oversight to support both production automation and same-day complete testing and lot release. The investment is positioned to reduce turnaround time and cost barriers for RNA therapeutics, aligning manufacturing, analytical development, and embedded QC into a single operational model.
