10x Genomics said it is expanding into clinical diagnostics by building a CLIA-certified laboratory expected to open next year within its headquarters campus in Pleasanton, California. The company ties the CLIA lab to a clinical pathway for its single-cell and spatial platforms and recently announced a multi-year collaboration with Cleveland Clinic to advance diagnostics research in bladder cancer. 10x also aims to run assays that correlate biology from sequencing and spatial analysis with therapeutic outcomes.
