Sapphiros won a $12.4 million Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority (BARDA) award to expand a molecular diagnostics platform for rapid detection of biothreat pathogens in point-of-care and decentralized settings. The program will run for 24 months and includes integration of a single-use capillary blood collection system developed by Satio, building on prior BARDA-funded Ebola diagnostics work.
