A UC Riverside team, funded by FRAXA, plans to test engineered proteins designed to cross the blood–brain barrier and normalize brain activity in Fragile X syndrome mice. The approach aims to modulate neural signaling directly, with the study translating an engineered delivery concept into an actionable preclinical program.
