Parse Biosciences and Nomic Bio announced a partnership to generate Cascade, a 100 million-cell foundational dataset designed to capture the human immune response at both single-cell transcriptome and proteomic levels. The dataset aims to give pharma partners cellular- and protein-level insight for immune mechanism mapping and drug target identification. Cascade will combine 100 million single-cell RNA-seq profiles with more than 11,000 proteomic secretome profiles. The program includes how immune cell types respond over multiple timepoints to more than 150,000 cytokine and drug perturbation conditions, pairing transcriptomic and proteomic readouts from the same immune responses. The companies cite prior commitments from partners including GSK, Pfizer, Sanofi, Graph Therapeutics, and Turbine. They position the dataset as a direct response to a “data bottleneck” for building predictive virtual cell models of immune signaling.
