A multi‑omics study led by Song, Liu, Bai and colleagues in the Journal of Translational Medicine profiled spatial compartments in pediatric acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) to identify distinct lung repair niches. Integrating transcriptomics, proteomics and spatial mapping, the team characterized repair cell states and signaling microenvironments that correlate with recovery. The findings point to spatially confined regenerative programs and potential targets to boost repair in pediatric ARDS.
