NeoGenomics won expanded Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services MolDX coverage for its RaDar ST tumor-informed MRD assay, extending the test’s use into immunotherapy response monitoring for late-stage solid tumors. The company said RaDar ST previously held coverage for HPV-negative head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and a subset of hormone receptor-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer. RaDar ST is based on whole-exome sequencing to analyze up to 48 patient-specific circulating tumor DNA variants and is intended to support recurrence risk assessment, surveillance monitoring, and treatment response tracking. NeoGenomics positioned MolDX coverage as a “cornerstone” milestone for expanding access to RaDar ST. For MRD and ctDNA diagnostics, the coverage update matters because it can change the economics of adoption in oncology workflows, especially where clinicians seek longitudinal molecular evidence alongside imaging.
