10x Genomics expanded its proteomics capabilities through the acquisition of Proteintech Genomics, aiming to integrate transcriptomic and proteomic measurements across its single-cell and spatial platforms. The deal builds on prior compatibility between the companies’ assay ecosystems, and 10x positioned the move as a way to address proteomics tooling gaps relative to transcriptomics. Proteintech Genomics is expected to help scale multiomics assay delivery for existing 10x customers, while also extending the platform roadmap for combined protein and multiomics workflows. 10x also highlighted ongoing platform development plans, including assay features across Chromium, Visium and Xenium.
