Merck signed a licensing and collaboration agreement for SciBrunch Therapeutics’ preclinical KRAS G12D molecular glue inhibitor SPR2015, a deal that could reach $2.13 billion. The agreement grants Merck exclusive global rights to develop, manufacture, and commercialize the program. SciBrunch positioned SPR2015 as an oral RAS(ON) inhibitor approach aimed at KRAS-mutant cancers, including colorectal, non-small cell lung, and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma. The companies cited preclinical activity spanning cell line and xenograft models, with Merck set to fund further development under the collaboration. The structure includes $400 million upfront and additional milestone payments tied to later development and commercialization steps. For Merck, the transaction expands its precision-oncology toolkit toward next-gen KRAS biology while competing in a crowded KRAS-targeting landscape.
