Samsung Biologics signed a $262 million manufacturing agreement with a European pharmaceutical company, with commitments planned for production at its Songdo facility through 2033. Samsung said the deal increases cumulative contract value to more than $21.9 billion and reiterates long-term demand signals for biologics capacity. The company also highlighted its operating base—845 kL total capacity across Korea and the U.S., including the Songdo site—and referenced earlier U.S. expansion through its Rockville facility. Beyond capacity, Samsung said it is pursuing portfolio expansion across therapeutic modalities, including an announced all-cash offer to acquire PolyPeptide Group, which would add peptide-based capabilities subject to deal completion.
