Single Cell Discoveries (SCD) completed its acquisition of TATAA Biocenter, bringing together discovery transcriptomics with assay validation capabilities spanning qPCR/dPCR and GLP/GCLP-compliant bioanalysis. The combination is designed to let sponsors move from target discovery to regulatory-ready validation without shifting providers mid-program. SCD said the merged offering covers single-cell sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, and multi-omics, while TATAA adds molecular assay development and bioanalytical services. SCD also highlighted that drug developers increasingly consolidate outsourcing, and that discovery-to-validation handoffs are where sponsors lose time under fragmented workflows. Financial terms were not disclosed. For customers, SCD said existing projects, quality systems, and points of contact will remain in place, with TATAA continuing to operate from Gothenburg.
