Pillar Biosciences said it will contribute its next-generation sequencing assay, oncoReveal Essential+, to a Japan partnership designed for liquid biopsy genomic screening. The program plans to profile cell-free DNA and cell-free RNA from approximately 2,000 patients with non-small cell lung cancer over two years. The study is embedded in LC-SCRUM-Asia, a lung cancer genomic screening and clinical research network led by the National Cancer Center Hospital East. LSI Medience is set to validate and perform testing as part of the operational setup. Pillar framed the collaboration as expanding access to rapid, reliable genomic testing for screening and for biomarker-driven clinical studies, where cfDNA/cfRNA can support stratification for emerging precision therapies.
