Juno Bio raised $3.8 million to support vaginal health and opened/expanded clinical testing capabilities for its sequencing-based vaginal microbiome assay. The round was backed by Ada Ventures, Artesian, Entrepreneur First, and the Illumina Accelerator, reflecting continued investor interest in microbiome diagnostics tied to women’s health. The company’s assay analyzes roughly 10,000 bacteria and fungi, alongside markers for common sexually transmitted infections, with results generated through its CLIA-certified lab infrastructure. Juno said it has sold more than 20,000 tests since launch and that the test is available in 46 states, with further expansion planned. The funding and lab scaling position Juno to support both consumer clinical use and pharmaceutical research partnerships using microbiome datasets.
