Inocras closed a $31 million Series B-3 financing round to expand its whole-genome sequencing offering and clinical footprint in the United States. The company, formerly Genome Insight and a spinout of KAIST, said existing investors DSC Investment, Dunamu and Partners, and InterVest participated alongside new investors including IMM Investment and Korea Investment and Securities, among others. Inocras plans to use the capital to grow its whole-genome sequencing and bioinformatics platform, and to increase commercial and operational capacity in the U.S. It currently operates two diagnostic WGS tests, CancerVision and RareVision, with the company reporting that its whole-genome sequencing test is used by more than 100 cancer institutions across Asia. Inocras said the tests already have a “significant commercial presence” in Hong Kong and support about 30 hospitals in South Korea, and it aims to translate that clinical experience into U.S. adoption where it expects whole-genome analysis to become a standard part of cancer care.
