Single-cell RNA sequencing and related technologies continue their rapid growth, enabling refined understanding of cellular heterogeneity across tissues. The Human Cell Atlas project and others are mapping millions of cells globally, facilitating reference datasets. Advances in sequencing affordability and spatial biology methods, such as Meteor Biotech’s SLACS technology for laser-activated spatial cell sorting, are enhancing the resolution and multi-omics profiling of cells with spatial context. These platforms complement each other and are poised to deepen insights into disease mechanisms.
