A research team led by W. Zeng and colleagues has developed a millimeter-scale magnetic soft robot capable of simultaneous locomotion and environmental sensing. Published in npj Flexible Electronics, the robot integrates magnetic nanoparticle-embedded polymers allowing wave-like movements and embedded sensors to monitor parameters such as pressure and temperature in real time.
