Parse Biosciences, a QIAGEN company, and Nomic Bio announced a partnership to build Cascade, a 100 million-cell foundational dataset designed to model the human immune response. The dataset combines large-scale single-cell RNA-seq with high-throughput proteomic secretome profiling across immune cell states. Cascade is described as a multimodal, perturbation dataset capturing immune responses to more than 150,000 cytokine and drug conditions across multiple timepoints. The plan includes 100 million single-cell RNA-seq profiles matched with more than 11,000 proteomic secretome profiles. Both companies said the dataset aims to close a perceived data bottleneck for predictive immune modeling and virtual cell approaches. They also reported foundational partner commitments from GSK, Pfizer, Sanofi, Graph Therapeutics and Turbine. The single-cell data generation will run through Parse’s GigaLab service, while Nomic will generate secretome measurements using its Omini 1000 platform, which can quantify more than 1,000 secreted proteins per sample.
