Illumina announced an expansion of the Alliance for Genomic Discovery dataset to include 50,000 additional genomes with paired proteomic data, generated using Illumina’s Protein Prep assay in partnership with DeCode Genetics. The move brings integrated proteogenomic scale to the AGD and follows new members joining the alliance, including Regeneron Genetics Center. Illumina said the proteomics addition—delivered over the next year—will deepen target discovery by linking genomic variation to protein abundance and function, strengthening drug‑target validation for alliance members such as GSK and Amgen. The dataset expansion aims to accelerate precision‑therapeutics discovery by providing richer molecular context for association signals.
