Silence Therapeutics reported positive Phase II results for divesiran, an siRNA targeting TMPRSS6 in polycythemia vera (PV). In the SANRECO trial (NCT05499013), the company said the study met its primary endpoint with an 88% response rate in divesiran-treated patients versus 19% in the placebo-controlled group. The program is aimed at improving hematocrit control while reducing the need for frequent phlebotomies, which are burdensome and often poorly tolerated. If Phase II results translate clinically, it could position divesiran as a mechanistically differentiated PV option that alters how PV hematologic control is managed.
