Kelonia Therapeutics’ KLN-1010 expanded early clinical results in multiple myeloma with high response rates and rapid MRD clearance. At EHA2026, Andrew Spencer of Monash University and the Australian Cancer Research Foundation Blood Cancer Therapeutics Center discussed follow-up patient data from the first-in-human trial of KLN-1010, a BCMA-targeting CAR T. The update was originally presented at the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting. Spencer reported a 100% response rate among the evaluated patients. For the 14 patients with data available one month after treatment, no minimal residual disease (MRD) was detectable, indicating deep molecular remissions early after dosing. The program’s positioning matters for next-generation CAR T development because it continues to connect potent early responses with measurable depth of response, a core focus for improving durability and treatment sparing in myeloma.
