Guardant Health reported Q2 revenue up 44% year over year to $335 million, led by a surge in oncology testing volume and expanding reimbursement momentum. Oncology revenue rose 38% as Guardant scaled its liquid biopsy footprint, including rapid growth for Shield, its colorectal cancer screening test. The company tied growth to regulatory and coverage progress: in June, the FDA approved Guardant360 Liquid CDx as a companion diagnostic for Boehringer Ingelheim’s Hernexeos (zongertinib) in adults with HER2-mutant advanced non-small cell lung cancer. Guardant also highlighted adoption by major guidance bodies, including an American Cancer Society update adding Shield to screening recommendations. Coverage expansion continued after quarter-end with UnitedHealthcare’s decision to reimburse Shield as a first-line screening assay, reinforcing that Guardant is converting clinical utility into both regulatory position and payer uptake.
