GenomOncology announced it will integrate Pacific Biosciences’ HiFi whole-genome sequencing secondary analysis pipeline into its Pathology Workbench reporting platform. The company said the goal is to streamline the operational path from long-read sequencing outputs to clinician-ready reports. The combined workflow connects PacBio research-use secondary analysis outputs—aligned reads and variant calls—with Pathology Workbench’s downstream steps including quality control review, variant interpretation, evidence curation, and report generation. By standardizing upstream processing while allowing tailoring across tumor types and clinical/program requirements, GenomOncology is positioning long-read WGS as a more scalable option for routine genomic reporting.
