ICON partnered with IRB and clinical trial operations provider Advarra to build an integrated, AI-driven site network model aimed at reducing trial startup delays. The arrangement combines Advarra’s site file, clinical trial management, and data-capture systems with ICON’s research services so sponsors can operate within a more unified tool environment. ICON said the connected approach is designed to remove duplicate work and manual handoffs that slow onboarding and add execution risk. It frames the partnership as a “site-centric” integration hub, with Advarra’s Study Collaboration acting as the shared operating environment for day-to-day site workflows. If adoption scales, the model could improve site efficiency and predictability for sponsors running multi-site studies across geographies where startup bottlenecks often dictate overall trial timelines.
