Genetic Alliance has secured a $500,000 grant from the Helmsley Charitable Trust to broaden its iHope Rare Disease program, which offers free whole-genome and exome sequencing for underserved children suspected of having genetic conditions. The funding will enable expansion of clinical partnerships, infrastructure development, and training to accelerate diagnosis in low- and middle-income countries. The program aims to diagnose over 75,000 individuals globally within five years, supporting research and patient care frameworks.
