Sandoz has agreed to settle key components of long-running US antitrust litigation tied to alleged generic drug price-fixing, reaching agreements with multiple sets of claimants to substantially narrow remaining exposure. The company said it will pay $400 million over seven years beginning in 2027 to resolve claims brought by 43 US states and territories, plus $50 million to states that previously resolved related matters. Separately, Sandoz reached a class settlement with indirect reseller plaintiffs valued at $28.5 million. Sandoz emphasized that the deals do not constitute an admission of wrongdoing, and said the settlements are not expected to affect 2026 financial expectations. The company noted that any remaining claims would largely involve individual plaintiffs who opted out of class settlements. The agreements follow prior settlement moves by Sandoz and its former parent Novartis, indicating the final stages of litigation cleanup after the 2023 spinout.
