The Broad Institute, Boston Children’s Hospital, and The Jackson Laboratory launched a new Center for Therapeutic Genetics aimed at standardizing how gene therapies are developed and delivered for rare diseases. The partners will pursue protocols intended to treat patients through a repeatable clinical framework—positioning rare-disease gene editing more like routine hospital procedures. The effort is backed by a $34.5 million ARPA-H grant, with a goal of treating the first patient within three years.
