Prime Medicine said it won arbitration against Beam Therapeutics in a contract dispute over gene-editing technology used in an alpha-1 antitrypsin deficiency program. Arbitrators determined Prime’s work did not violate the 2019 agreement, clearing the way for Prime to start a clinical trial this quarter and leaving Beam with a setback in its competitive position.
