The FDA and NIH jointly released the Modernizing Research and Evidence (MoRE) Consensus Definitions draft glossary to harmonize terminology in clinical and real-world evidence (RWE) research. Developed with public input, the glossary clarifies key terms such as data curation, pragmatic clinical trials, selection bias, and synthetic data. While non-binding, this consensus aims to improve communication, interpretation, and rigor in RWE studies, facilitating regulatory and scientific collaboration in innovative trial designs.
