Proteotype Diagnostics initiated a new clinical study program for Enlighten, its multicancer early detection blood test, intended to support a CE-IVDR submission in Europe. The Cambridge, UK-based company also launched another study to optimize platform performance, and it said it is pursuing around £5 million in additional financing. Proteotype’s approach uses an immunodiagnostic signature based on amino-acid residue biomarker patterns that reflect immune activation associated with tumor development. The company points to prior validation in 170 participants, reporting cancer detection without misclassifying healthy controls in its study set. The update positions Enlighten for broader regulatory progression by tightening evidence around both analytical performance and clinical utility across the intended patient population.
