The White House announced additional voluntary “most-favored nation” (MFN) drug pricing deals, extending the framework to more biopharma companies. New entrants include Alcon, Astellas, BeOne, BridgeBio, CSL, Sun Pharma, Kyowa Kirin, Teva, and UCB, joining earlier signatories. The deals follow pledges to price selected therapies at levels comparable to the lowest prices among peer countries and to offer Medicaid access at MFN rates in return for potential avoidance of tariffs and inclusion in CMS pilot programs under review. Together with an expanded set of signed companies, the administration says the agreements cover the large majority of the U.S. drug market—an escalation that could tighten pricing benchmarks for branded drug launches and lifecycle management.
