The work refines a drug-delivery approach designed to address a central challenge for neurodegenerative therapeutics: getting molecules into the brain at sufficient levels and in a form that sustains functional protection. The nanoparticle strategy targets limitations tied to CBD’s delivery performance and supports a more therapeutically relevant exposure pattern for neuronal survival. If efficacy translates beyond preclinical models, albumin-based brain delivery could be a platform worth evaluating across other CNS-active compounds.
