Researchers in Türkiye reported that milk-derived vesicles loaded with miR-126-3p can blunt amyloid-β–driven cellular stress in neurons. The approach targets Alzheimer’s disease biology by delivering a specific microRNA through naturally abundant extracellular vesicles. The study highlights an RNA-based delivery direction that leverages biocompatible vesicle carriers rather than synthetic delivery platforms alone. If validated beyond cell models, vesicle-mediated miRNA delivery could expand the toolkit for CNS targets where crossing biological barriers remains a major constraint. The report also adds mechanistic specificity by linking an miRNA cargo to reduction in amyloid-β stress effects at the cellular level, a step that could inform target selection for future translational experiments.
