Maryland awarded more than $520,000 to fire departments to run multi-cancer early detection screening using 20/20 BioLabs’ OneTest blood assay, covering testing for more than 1,400 firefighters. The funding is routed through the state’s Professional and Volunteer Firefighter Innovative Cancer Screening Technologies Grant Program and is expected to support tests beginning in April or May. 20/20 BioLabs said it plans to pursue Medicare coverage for OneTest for Cancer, a protein tumor-marker panel enhanced with machine learning-based AI. The company also cited real-world evidence goals, linking the program data to future interactions with the U.S. FDA and CMS. The company separately offers a OneTest for Longevity product expected to launch in the first half of 2026, expanding its broader biomarker strategy beyond oncology.
