Grail and Epic reached an integration milestone to expand ordering of the Galleri multi-cancer early detection test inside Epic electronic health records. Grail said clinicians will be able to access the test directly within Epic workflows and receive results in the same platform, with implementation planning beginning in Q1 2026. The companies said they expect broad ordering and results availability through Epic by end-2026, targeting about 450 health systems with access via EHR-enabled patient portals. The move is designed to reduce operational friction that can limit adoption of blood-based screening tests. For biotech commercialization and real-world deployment, EHR integration is often a key rate-limiter—this announcement aims to remove that barrier for clinicians evaluating early detection workflows.
