Diaceutics and the Precision Cancer Consortium (PCC) launched the NGS Concordance Study to benchmark variant detection across next-generation sequencing panels and platforms used in routine clinical oncology testing. The initiative aims to generate evidence on concordance, testing variability, and downstream implications for biomarker-driven decisions. The study will evaluate up to 20 NGS assays currently in use across U.S. laboratories. Concordance will be assessed by comparing each assay’s variant calls against known reference profiles generated using synthetic samples. Diaceutics and PCC are seeking participation from laboratories, diagnostics companies, and other precision oncology stakeholders. PCC emphasized that evidence generation in testing performance requires coordination across the healthcare ecosystem rather than single-organization efforts.
