Eurobio Scientific signed a distribution partnership to commercialize two Canhelp Genomics molecular oncology assays across the UK, France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and the Benelux. The agreement covers the Canhelp-Uca urine assay for auxiliary diagnosis and recurrence monitoring of urothelial carcinoma, and Canhelp-Origin, a tissue-based tumor origin classification panel. Eurobio said both assays are CE-marked and run on Thermo Fisher’s ABI-7500 real-time PCR system. Canhelp-Uca measures an eight-gene urine signature, while Canhelp-Origin analyzes 90 tumor-specific genes from formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded samples to classify 21 solid tumor types. For diagnostic stakeholders, the deal extends access to multiomic-style molecular profiling in oncology, potentially influencing how clinicians stage disease and decide next-line management.
