Eurobio Scientific signed an agreement to distribute Canhelp Genomics molecular oncology assays across multiple European markets. The deal covers distribution of the Canhelp-Uca urine-based urothelial carcinoma auxiliary diagnosis and recurrence monitoring test and the tissue-based Canhelp-Origin tumor origin classification assay. Eurobio said both assays are CE-marked and are performed using Thermo Fisher Scientific’s ABI-7500 real-time PCR system. Canhelp-Uca measures an eight-gene signature mRNA signal in urine, while Canhelp-Origin applies a panel of 90 tumor-specific genes to distinguish among 21 solid tumor types using formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded samples. The agreement extends Canhelp-Origin commercialization planning by also referencing a collaboration with Mirxes Singapore for broader regional availability across Southeast Asia. For the diagnostics sector, the move highlights continued expansion of molecular oncology assay distribution networks tied to standardized PCR workflows.
