IntelliGenome expanded commercial reach for its CRISPR-TB molecular tuberculosis test by naming distributors in Taiwan and South Africa. The assay detects Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex cell-free DNA from blood using a CRISPR-based fluorescence readout engineered for ultra-sensitive detection. In Taiwan, Yu Shing Bio-Tech will distribute the test and support regulatory registration with the Taiwan FDA while partnering with clinical institutions. In South Africa, Ilex South Africa will lead registration, market development and technical support alongside tuberculosis researchers and healthcare facilities. The company also cited that a national multicenter clinical validation study will be led by Yu Shing Bio-Tech’s attending physician partner at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, aimed at generating clinical evidence for active TB detection. These partnerships matter because molecular access gaps remain a key limiter for case finding and treatment decisions in high-burden regions.
