A dynamic total-body PET/CT study measured biodistribution and radiation dose for a [68Ga]Ga-HER2 Affibody in HER2-positive breast cancer patients and reported a practical earliest imaging time of 45 minutes post-injection. The work also reported an effective dose estimate to support translational planning for scan scheduling. Total-body PET aims to enable earlier, more efficient imaging by improving sensitivity and time-of-flight signal capture. Earlier imaging windows can affect logistics, throughput, and clinical workflows—particularly in high-volume centers. For radiopharmaceutical developers and imaging teams, the data provide a concrete timepoint target for protocol standardization.
