Sophia Genetics reported a 27% year-over-year Q2 revenue increase, driven by growth in U.S. customers and liquid biopsy sales. The company also announced a new collaboration with AstraZeneca to develop, validate and commercialize two companion diagnostics—one each in solid and hematological cancers—leveraging Sophia’s decentralized network. Incoming CEO Ross Muken said the deal is intended to act as a revenue accelerator and also build real-world evidence to support future AI-enabled clinical intelligence tools. Sophia added that it signed additional work with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center to apply Sophia’s AI platform and clinical expertise to develop and launch new applications. The company raised its full-year revenue guidance to $94 million–$96 million and said the AstraZeneca partnership is expected to begin impacting growth next year, with U.S. revenue showing 64% growth during the quarter.
