The LCD increases the number of covered tests and removes a proposed bundled billing provision. The decision matters operationally for transplant programs and laboratories that rely on molecular surveillance to monitor rejection risk and guide clinical management. It also reduces friction for clinicians attempting to adopt test-driven follow-up strategies. Separately, Qiagen reported CE-IVD certification for its QiaStat-Dx BCID GN Plus AMR Panel, which can detect gram-negative pathogens and antimicrobial resistance markers in about an hour from positive blood cultures. The certification adds to the company’s pipeline of faster panels intended to support antimicrobial stewardship and faster infection-control decisions.
