IntelliGenome partnered with CTR Scientific to commercialize a CRISPR-based tuberculosis (TB) blood test in Mexico. The firms said CTR Scientific will serve as IntelliGenome’s exclusive distribution partner and will support clinical evidence generation, market development, and future commercialization of the CRISPR-TB test. The test targets cell-free Mycobacterium tuberculosis DNA in blood samples, aiming to improve diagnosis for patients with extrapulmonary TB and those for whom sputum collection is difficult. IntelliGenome said the assay is CE-IVDD certified and has secured registrations in international markets for broader adoption across Latin America. Kurt Wehrle, IntelliGenome’s VP of partnerships and strategic alliances, said Mexico is a strategically important market, and the partnership is expected to help expand access while building additional clinical data.
