NeoGenomics’ RaDar ST molecular residual disease assay received expanded coverage from CMS under MolDX for immunotherapy response monitoring in late-stage solid tumors. The update expands reimbursement beyond prior indications that included HPV-negative head and neck squamous cell carcinoma and a subset of HR+/HER2- breast cancer. RaDar ST is tumor-informed and uses whole-exome sequencing to track up to 48 patient-specific ctDNA variants. NeoGenomics said the MolDX coverage is a cornerstone for RaDar ST launch and could expand access for clinicians seeking longitudinal molecular data to complement imaging. With additional submissions pending, the coverage decision is positioned as an incremental but significant step toward making MRD monitoring part of routine treatment-response evaluation for broader patient populations receiving immunotherapy.
