Seegene received CE IVDR marking for its Allplex MDRO Assay, a multiplex real-time PCR test designed to detect multidrug-resistant organisms tied to healthcare-associated infections. The assay is intended to identify key pathogens and associated resistance genes simultaneously and supports rapid first-line screening before culture-based results are available. Seegene launched the kit in Europe following the certification. The company said it is also developing an Allplex MRSA Assay, targeting a 2027 launch as part of an antimicrobial resistance testing expansion. For hospital microbiology labs, the IVDR clearance advances the availability of faster, molecular infection-control workflows and strengthens the push for actionable stewardship decisions based on rapid diagnostics.
