A rapid, adaptive Oxford Nanopore whole-genome sequencing workflow accelerated pediatric cancer diagnostics by using adaptive sampling to detect fusions, small variants, copy-number changes, and methylation classes within hours. The approach matched standard clinical assay readouts across 36 pediatric cancer and control samples, positioning WGS as a faster “single test” strategy. In parallel, an open-source spatial proteomics workflow (OpenDVP) aimed to make Deep Visual Proteomics more usable for mapping thousands of proteins while preserving tissue context. The open availability is intended to reduce barriers for teams that want to run spatial proteomics without needing bespoke engineering. For biotech teams, the combined signal is operational: time-to-result and workflow accessibility are increasingly treated as product features for diagnostics, not just as academic improvements.
