The financing was led by BVF Partners with Eli Lilly as an investor, positioning menin inhibition as a strategy intended to expand beta-cell capacity for chronic disease. The combination of observational data generation and new mechanism-based development suggests intensified competition to define how early intervention and novel targets translate into durable metabolic outcomes.
